Hygienists

Diem

Dental Hygienist, Diem Huyen VuongI am originally from Vietnam. I have been working as a dental hygienist for 16 years & I’m looking forward to many more to come. I received my college education from both Virginia Commonwealth University & Northern Virginia Community College. I am also certified in CPR & often volunteer through Hope for Tomorrow. I am married with three wonderful children. When I am not busy at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, traveling & cooking. If I were an animal, I would be a tiger because they are decisive, aggressive & leaders.

Business Team

Ashley: Assistant Operations Manager

Ashley MorabitoI graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Cellular, Molecular & Physiological Biology from Christopher Newport University. I have been in the dental field all of my life. As a little girl, my dad brought me into the office to assist him on emergency cases. I quickly fell in love with the medical field. Medicine is like a puzzle, the signs & symptoms are the pieces that fit together to develop a diagnosis. There is so much joy in being able to find the answer & change someone’s life. I am partnering with my parents to develop a nonprofit so we can continue to make a difference through our mission work around the world. If I were an animal, I would be a dolphin because I love the water & am very adventurous.

“The ever-present smile of the Dolphin is there to remind us that the best way to integrate our intellects, our emotions & our actions is through the simple act of playing.” – Steven D. Farmer, Ph.D.

Ruth: Patient Coordinator

Ruth AdewunmMy smile is what motivated me to join the dental field, & I’ve been in the dental industry for 6 years. Working as an administrator, my goal is to help everyone achieve their perfect smile because your smile is our goal. I have so much joy being a loving mother to my handsome son. If I could be any animal in the world, I would pick a lion. It is my birthday sign & I feel like I have the same traits of being a leader & always wanting to provide for not just my family & friends but everyone.

Elsi: Patient Coordinator

Elsi RivasI am from El Salvador & I love helping others out. Someone’s smile is the first thing that catches my eye & for that reason, I decided to work in the dental field. I love working in a place that will help people achieve the smile they deserve. I enjoy having a good laugh & trying new things out. If I could be any animal, I would be a butterfly because they grow into something beautiful & colorful.

Clinical Team

Lily: Dental Assistant

Lily VelaI am a mother of two boys in high school & am originally from El Salvador. I have been a dental assistant for twenty years, thirteen of which have been with Dr. Morabito. I am responsible for the maintenance of the equipment, assisting & designing CEREC crowns. I love working at this office because of surgery, implants & how all the technology can help our patients. Several years ago, Elsy & I coordinated a dental mission to El Salvador where we treated more than 400 patients. If I were an animal, I would be a bumble bee because they are very hard workers.

Kayla: Dental Assistant

Kayla MarcosAt Everlasting Dental Care I started as a patient, & within a few months, my interest & appreciation for the dental field began to bloom. I love learning & pushing myself daily, & being a dental assistant allows me to do so. Besides the dental field, I love trips to the beach. If I could be an animal I would be a butterfly because they are constantly changing & growing before finally becoming the best that they can be & ready to fly.

Alexis: Dental Assistant

Alexis WalkerI am a graduate of Virginia State University. I majored in Biology with my mind set on dentistry. I strive to be able to serve others by making sure they’re confident & feel beautiful with their smile. Serving people one smile at a time has been my motto since high school & will be forever! If I could be any animal, it would be an elephant. They’re empathetic toward others, have the ability to adapt to any new environment & work according to the culture & system of a place.

Susana: Dental Assistant

Susana SandovalI have been working as a Dental Assistant for 22 years. I have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Robert A. Morabito since he became a dentist 20 years ago, & I also worked with his father, Dr. Peter A. Morabito. He inspired me to become a missionary so I could share my knowledge & serve others. I remember asking him, “What do I need to do to become a missionary?” & he replied, “Have faith & love your neighbor.” About 10 years ago I started going on missions myself & I founded my own charity, Healthy Teeth Journey of Hope, in 2016. If I could be an animal, I would be a dove who could travel anywhere to bring love, care & peace.

Sekina: Dental Assistant

Sekina ShifaI am originally from Ethiopia. I started in the dental field in 2017 because I am obsessed with smiles. A smile is the first thing that you see when looking at a person. I love the thought of helping everyone achieve a healthy & beautiful smile. I like challenging myself to do better & better every day. Outside the office, I love to exercise because it makes me feel energetic & physically fit. I also enjoy traveling, & if I could be an animal, I would be a bird because birds have the freedom to fly wherever they please.
